SRINAGAR: Social media platform X was down for thousands of users in the United States and other parts of the world on Wednesday, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.
More than 14,000 users in the US reported issues with the platform as of 10:59 a.m. Eastern Time, Downdetector data showed. The service, which compiles user-submitted reports from multiple sources, indicated widespread disruption affecting access and functionality.
In an update, the outage appeared to extend beyond the United States, with users across several countries reporting difficulties in accessing the platform, formerly known as Twitter.
The cause of the disruption was not immediately clear, and there was no official statement from the company at the time of reporting.
