Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik, who was arrested along with many others while leading a protest rally at Lal Chowk is still in police custody. Malik along with JKLF zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Ghulam Muhammad Dar, and Hurriyat Leader Javed Ahmad Mir have been remanded up to 27th of October and are now lodged at Police station Maisuma.

The spokesman said that Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), while condemning this police highhandedness and prolonging of incarceration of JKLF chairman and others, has termed it as most undemocratic and unethical. Malik was arrested by police on 2nd of October and released on 21st of the same month and after only a few hours of freedom he has been again arrested and put behind bars.

Meanwhile, JKLF has paid rich tributes to slain militants Doctor Sabzar Ahmad and Asif Ahmad Gojri. JKLF has said that after choking every little space on peaceful political resistance, India and its stooges are pushing our highly educated and passionate youth towards the path of ultimate sacrifice.
