After taking over as the chief minister of Uttar Pardesh Yogi Adityanat Friday appointed a J&K resident Rigzin Samphel, 35 as his special secretary.
IAS of UP cadre, Rigzin is from 2003 batch. He has also worked as the top official during the government of Samajwadi Party.
A commerce graduate from SRCC and an MBA from Delhi University, Rigzin received an award from the Ministry for Rural Development for the best National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGA) implementation.
Pertinently Yogi Adiyanth, a right wing leader has evoked controversy after being sworn as chief minister. The various opposition leaders have condemned BJP’s decision to choose him for the high post.
