In a bid to end his life, a youth from Budgam attempted to commit a suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his home on Friday.
The spokesman said a 19-year-old youth (name withheld) resident of Budgam consumed some poisonous substance at his home in district Budgam.
The youth was rushed to Public Health Centre Khag for treatment where from he was shifted to JVC, Srinagar for further treatment.
In this regard, Budgam police have registered a case and investigations have been taken up.
