SRINAGAR: A youth was killed while his brother sustained injuries in a road accident in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday evening.
An official said that the accident occurred at Anzwalla, Anantnag, when a scooty and an auto collided, resulting in the on-the-spot death of the scooty rider.
The deceased has been identified as Owais Reyaz Khan, son of Reyaz Ahmad, a resident of Shirpora, Anantnag.
His brother, who was riding pillion, has been identified as Usman Reyaz Khan. He sustained injuries and was shifted to GMC Anantnag, from where he was referred to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar, in critical condition, the official said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation. (JKNS)
