A youth died while other two got injured in Hamray area of Baramulla district when they came in contact with a fallen transmission line which was beneath the water near Hamray highway.
The deceased identified as Aqib Manzoor Rather s/o Manzoor Ahmad Reather of Ajas Bandipora died when he along with his eight accomplices were on way to Pattan to participate in an Army recruitment rally.
Eye witnessed said that, “when they reach to Ajas where the sumo got stuck due to the water on the road, Aqib opened the window to help the Sumo to move forward, as he jump out of the vehicle he got contacted with the water which was in contact with fallen transmission line”.
Aqib died on the spot while his two injured associates were rushed to Sumbal hospital for further treatment.
