A woman attempted to end her life in South Kashmir’s Islamabad while a boy hanged himself to death in Srinagar, last evening, police said.
In an attempt to end her life, a 30 years old lady (name withheld) and resident of Chinigund Dooru in district Islamabad sprinkled kerosene oil on her body and set herself ablaze. The lady was immediately shifted to the SMHS Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, a 23 years old Jabreel Jameel resident of Bagath Barzulla, was found hanged in his room. He was shifted to Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police have initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC in this regard.
