An 18-year-old boy was found hanged on Wednesday in a forest area of Halmatpora village of district Kupwara.
The youth has been identified as Asif Ahmed Peer son of Abdul Ahad Peer, a resident of Halmatpora area of Kupwara.
An official from the police department said that locals of the area on Wednesday morning found a youth hanged in Wayne forest area of Kupwara and informed the police.
However the police station Kupwara has taken the body to district hospital Kupwara for medico-legal formalities.
