Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday in a statement said that one individual namely Shahid Bhat has been brought to the hospital with a bullet injury. The circumstances in which he received the injury is being ascertained.
“The injured is stated to be stable. There is no report of any protest in the area as reported by certain sections of media,” the spokesman said.
“The area has been cordoned off more details shall follow,” he added.
Earlier on Thursday night, unknown gunmen attacked an army patrolling party in Ahgam area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
