Hurriyat Conference (M) while paying tributes to the 18 people killed in last three days in Kashmir termed it as a planned genocide aimed at the selective killing of people especially the young lot which deserves the highest form of condemnation.

The Hurriyat(M) spokesman paid rich tributes to slain militants killed in an encounter with forces at Batagund area of Shopian that include Umar Ganai, Mushtaq Ahmed Mir, Waseem Ahmed Wagay, Khalid Farooq while as Muhammad Waseem  who was killed at Khrew and the civilian Muhammad Nouman killed at Batagund, Shopian stating that “martyrs are great assets of Kashmir struggle”.

He said people of Kashmir especially youth are offering priceless sacrifices for the freedom struggle of Kashmir that has already thousands of sacrifices at its back and it is high time that the people of Kashmir show unity and steadfastness to take the present ongoing struggle to its logical conclusion.

The spokesperson strongly denounced the forces’ “brute” action on the peaceful protesters and termed it ultimate highhandedness and arrogance of forces who enjoy unbridled powers under AFSPA.

“The forces didn’t even spare the 20-month-old Hiba and snatched her vision by firing pellets at her eyes,” he said.

The spokesperson urged the world community to wake up and take strong note of the “ultimate repression” being unleashed by the lakhs of forces personnel on Kashmiris.

Meanwhile, on the directions of amalgam chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, senior leader Mukhtar Ahmed Waza visited the Bijbehara, Anantnag, Kulgam areas where many youths were killed in the recent past. Waza expressed solidarity with the bereaved families and stated that “the mission of martyrs will be taken to its realization”.
