SRINAGAR: A youth slipped into the Power Canal in the Ganderbal area of central Kashmir while attempting to rescue another person, officials said on Saturday.
An official said that the incident occurred when one youth tried to save another near the canal and lost his balance, falling into the fast-flowing water.
The official said one person has been traced and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, while another youth remains missing.
Search and rescue operations are under way to locate the missing individual, officials said. (KNC)
