Official sources said that Zubair has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Bank for three years.

Zubair was appointed as PO of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in 1989. He served the bank in different capacities and resigned in 2006 to join the HDFC Bank. He rose to the position of the regional head in HDFC Bank and is now the MD of the bank.

“It is actually returning to the home,” Zubair told Kashmir Life. “There are issues and there are solutions. We will make it happen.”

The order also indicates that the government has finally bifurcated the position of the CMD of JK Bank. From now on the incumbent Chairman cum managing director, RK Chibber shall be a non-executibve director on the bank’s board for a period of three years. Consequent upon his appointment as non-executve director, JK Bank is likely to appoint to him as chairman of the board.
