The seventh three-day research methodology workshop on biomedical research conducted by the department of community medicine, government medical college, Srinagar from April 11-13
which was attended by faculty and consultants of GMC Srinagar, SKIMS, SKIMS medical college and Department of Pharmaceutical sciences, Kashmir university concluded on Thursday.

According to Dr. S. Muhammad Salim Khan, HOD Community Medicine and organizing chairman of the workshop., the workshop was supported by Indian council of medical research (ICMR) and covered wide areas of research including research anatomy, physiology, design, sampling, randomization, biostatistics, pubmed-search, Mendeley reference-manager, bioethics, research quiz etc, with resource persons from Community Medicine GMC Srinagar and Dr. Shariq Masoodi from SKIMS Srinagar.

Principal & dean government medical college, Srinagar and workshop patron Dr. Kaiser Ahmad impressed upon the participants for strengthening and mutually supporting the three pillars of academics, research and patient-care which ultimately aims at improving the overall health of the community.

The workshop was accredited by J&K state medical council with 12 credit hours and was observed by its chairman academics Dr. GM Malik who was guest of honour on the valedictory function chaired by Dr. Kaiser Ahmad, said Dr. S. Muhammad Salim Khan, HOD Community Medicine and organizing chairman of the workshop.
