The curfew was lifted on Saturday from across the Kashmir valley after seven days. As per a police statement the overall situation remained normal throughout the day barring some incidents of stone pelting.

“The day passed off peacefully barring few incidents of stone pelting from Maisuma, Rajouri Kadal, Gojwara Chowk, Bohari Kadal and Chota Bazar on moving vehicles in Srinagar city and Islamabad, Baramulla, Sopore and Vilgam in Handwara”, reads the statement.

However police informed that one civilian Nisar Ahmad son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Makdoom Sahib received stone injury on his nose near Gojwara. While as one ASI, Baldeep Singh, of BSF also received minor injury in stone pelting at Baramulla.
