One person died while eleven others were injured in different road accidents across the valley, police said Tuesday.
“In Pulwama, a tipper bearing registration number JK13B-4571 collided with a Maruti van bearing registration number JK01J-7408 near village Wahibugh, resulting in serious injuries to Maruti Van driver Manzoor Ahmed Parray son of Ghulam Nabi Parray resident of Palpora Sonwar Srinagar and Zeenat daughter of Abdul Rashid Parray resident of Sonwar Srinagar. The injured driver succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital and the injured lady was shifted to District Hospital Pulwama for treatment,” the police said in a statement.
“In Islamabad, a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK08A-4826 met with an accident at Jogigund, Achabal Islamabad resulting in injuries to seven passengers. All the injured were shifted to District Hospital Islamabad for treatment.”
In Handwara, an unknown vehicle hit and injured a 12 years old boy identified as Furkan Gani Khan son of Abdul Gani Khan resident of Kargam near Chottipora Crossing. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Similarly in Bandipora, a Tavera vehicle bearing registration number Jk15-1109 hit a Motorcycle resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Rameez Ahmed Sofi resident of Sumbal. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
“In Srinagar, a Maruti-800 bearing registration number JK01K-9289 hit and injured Abdul Gani Shiekh resident of Housing Colony Chanapora near Florence Hospital. The injured was shifted to the hospital for treatment.”
