Police Tuesday said it detained a man in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district when he was attempting to snatch a service rifle from a CRPF man.
The incident happened in Wanpoh area of the district.
Identified as Tariq Bhat of Kulgam, police said the detained man stabbed a paramilitary trooper while trying to snatch his weapon away. The man has been lodged in police lockup.
