One person died and seventeen others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir valley. A police statement said on Wednesday.
A truck bearing registration number JK01F/0481, due to brake failure, met with an accident at Reshiwari, Kupwara, resulting in injuries to 16 persons boarding in the vehicle. All the injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, a truck bearing registration number Jk09/345 hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Rasool Phafoo 60 years son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Noorbagh at Sekidaffar chowk. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura where he succumbed to his injuries.
In another accident, a Tata 407-passenger vehicle bearing registration number JK04/1700 turned turtle near Ompora, in Budgam, resulting in injuries to two persons. Both the injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment.
