A LP Truck bearing registration number JK02AQ/7032 rammed with an electric transformer on the Highway near Jawbrara, Awantipora , resulting in on spot death of the conductor of the Truck, Bahar Ahmad son of Fareed Ahmad resident of Matra, Ramban. The driver of the truck fled away from the spot. A police statement said on Monday.
The statement added that a Tata Sumo bearing registration numberJK09/2866 turned turtle on the Highway near Floor mill Watiyan, Handwara, resulting in injuries to two passengers Abdul Rashid Malik son of Ghulam Nabi Malik resident of Malikpora, Kupwara and Waseem Ahmad Khan son of Dawood Khan resident of Warnoo Lolab. Both the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital, Handwara for treatment.
