Javed Ahmad Mir was injured critically when a wild bear attacked him in his residence in Zakura Nowbug.
According to eyewitnesses the bear is said to have managed to run away as people chased him. Mir was later shifted to SKIMS.
However, man versus animal incidents’ are uncommon during winter season as bears go in to hibernation.
Most of such incidents which happen during winters are reported from the areas which are near to the forests.
