SRINAGAR
One person died and ten others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley. A police statement said on Monday.
A Tipper bearing registration number Jk01/0159 driven by Mohammad Iqbal Malik son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Sadiwari hit and injured a pedestrian Hilal Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rehman resident of Tral at Nadoora Dooru, Islamabad. The injured was referred to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar from Sub district Hospital, Dooru, where he succumbed to his injuries.
In another accident, a Maruti Car bearing registration number JK03/5129 driven by Zahid Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Hamid resident of Zaidpora, Kulgam turned turtle at Poolia, Islamabad resulting in injuries to two passengers Showkat Ahmad Thokar son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Zaidpora and Dilawar Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rehman resident of Zaidpora. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment, where from Dilawar Ahmad was referred to Bone and Joints Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment.
In another accident, a Qualis vehicle bearing registration number JK01H/3236 on way from Tangmarg to Magam hit other two vehicles a Nano Car bearing registration number JK01R/9242 and Chases Alto Car and also hit and injured two pedestrians Mohammad Amin Tantary son of Ghulam Ahmad resident of Kunzer and Dhananji Nag son of Davinder Chand resident of Alipora Jallpari, Bihar. Both the injured were shifted to Primary Health Centre, Kunzer for treatment, where from Mohammad Amin referred to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for further treatment.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK12/3698 driven by Abdul Amin Gujjar son of Abdul Majeed resident of Sekimadan, Mendhar Poonch hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Ahmad Dar age son of Sadiq Dar resident of Search, Ganderbal near Search crossing, Ganderbal. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Ganderbal for treatment.
A Gypsy bearing registration number JK02S/7396 driven by Sukhveer Singh son of Karan Singh resident of Ward No. 06, Dhara Road Udhampur hit and injured Mohammad Younis Khatana son of Mohammad Ayoub resident of Thanda Pani Poonch, near Dumail Baltal, Ganderbal. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment.
A Load Carrier bearing registration number JK22/2403 hit a Tavera bearing registration number JK13B/7655 at Degree College, Kulgam, resulting in injuries to a pedestrian Abdul Rashid Laway son of Ghulam Ahmad resident of Hanand Chawalgam. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Kulgam for treatment, where from he was referred to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment.
A Motorcycle bearing registration number JK09/7411 skidded off the road near Gas Plant, Awantipora, in the jurisdiction of police station Pampore, resulting in injuries to Motorcyclist Tariq Ahmad War son of Ghulam Hassan resident of Shah Nagri, Handwara. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment.
Meanwhile, a Tempo Traveler bearing registration number JK02AN/6361 hit a Polo Car without registration number neat T.T Gate Panthachowk, Srinagar, resulting in injuries to the Tempo driver. A case has been registered in this regard.
