SRINAGAR

One person died and six persons were injured in different road accidents across the valley, police said on Friday.

A motorcycle bearing registration number JK05D/1520 collided with a Scooty bearing registration number JK05C/2282 at Singhpora, Pattan. Both the riders Mohammad Ashraf Lone and Ghulam Mohammad Gojri residents of Baramulla got injured in this accident. Both the injured were shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment where Ghulam Mohammad Gojri   succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, a Tata 407 bearing registration number JK09/0989 hit and injured a 12 year old boy Shahid Manzoor son of Manzoor Ahmad Khan resident of Shogpora   Magam, in Handwara. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Handwara for treatment.

In another accident, a Sumo bearing registration number JK03/8882   turned turtle near Jawbara, in Awantipora resulting in injuries to three persons Rukhsana resident of Kader Islamabad, Mohammad Yousuf Dar resident of Banihal and Mohammad Rafiq Khan resident of Pahalgam. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment, among them Mohammad Rafiq Khan was shifted to SKIMS for further treatment.

An Ertiga car bearing registration number JK02AW-9912 skidded off the road at Check Manigam, in Qazigund resulting in injury to the driver Kesar  Ahmad  Pathan son of Kabeer resident of Nai Basti Islamabad. He was shifted to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, police said that while repairing his tipper bearing registration number JK15/1029, the driver Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Maqbool resident of SK Bala got critically injured near Bazipora Ajad, in Sumbal. He was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
