One person died and nine other were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
According to police spokesman, a Xylo bearing registration number JK01Q/3068 hit a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK09/2527 near Shaloora, Kupwara, resulting in injuries to Sharief-ud-Din Khan son of Sarwar Khan resident of Jalalabad, Aadipora, Sopore and two passenger traveling in the Xylo. The injured motorcyclist was shifted to Sub District Hospital Kupwara for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries, while as other injured were shifted to Kralpora Hospital for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, a Maruti Car bearing registration number JK01F/1836 hit a Motorcycle bearing registration number PB/1409 driven by Abid Hussain Shah son of Farooq Ahmad resident of Lasipora, Lolab, at Bomhama Kupwara, resulting in injuries to the Maruti driver Bashir Ahmad Sheikh son of Jabbar Sheikh resident of Regipora, Motorcyclist and pillion rider Ishfaq Ahmad son of Muzaffar Ahmad resident of Sogam. The injured have been shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kupwara for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
In another accident, a Tavera bearing registration number JK05C/ 5897 hit a Motorcycle driven by Rayees Ahmad Lone son of Mohammad Akbar resident of Naidkhai Bandipora at National Highway near Petrol Pump Putkah, Sopore. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment, where from he has been referred to Bone and Joints Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
Two Trucks bearing registration number JK03C/3701 and JK01Q/9160 collided at Vessu Kulgam in the jurisdiction of police station Qazigund, resulting in injuries to three persons. The injured were shifted to District Hospital, Islamabad for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
