SRINAGAR: At least 10 persons were injured after a newly constructed bridge collapsed at the New Bypass in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday, officials said.
An official said that the bridge collapsed shortly after its completion.
He said 10 persons were injured in the incident and were immediately shifted to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment.
Among them, one person who sustained a spinal injury was referred to a hospital in Srinagar for specialised treatment, he added.
Authorities have taken cognisance of the incident and are assessing the cause of the bridge collapse. (KNO)
