11 Clinics, Labs Sealed In North Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: At least eleven private clinics and labs functioning without the proper registration in the Sumbal and Hajin areas of Bandipora district were sealed on Thursday.

CThief Medical Officer, Dr Rafi Salati said that a comprehensive inspection was conducted by a team comprising of Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Umar Shafi Pandit, Chief Medical Officer, SDM Sumbal, Tehsildar Sumbal and Municipal Chairmen of Hajin and Sumbal along with the President of Private Diagnostic Labs Association of Bandipora and associated staff.

“During the inspection, the team found that at least 11 clinics and labs were operating without proper registration”, the medical officer said. “The visiting team instantly sealed all the eleven enterprises and cautioned them to complete the required documentation process,” he  said.

“Additionally, several other clinical establishments and labs were cautioned to fulfill their documentation within seven days or face similar actions”, the officer further said.

The inspection was aimed to ensure compliance with the necessary healthcare standards and registration protocols in the district, he said further. (GNS)
