Uri Accident @ Kichama

Eleven persons were injured in a road accident when two vehicles collided with each other in North Kashmir on Thursday.

Reports reaching here said that a Sumo bearing registration number: JK05D – 0629, was on its way to Baramulla from Chollan Uri.

It met collided with a Tipper at Kichama injuring eleven persons aboard Sumo.

The injured were identified as Ashiq Hussain Mir (45), driver; Fatima Begum (29); Muhammad Rashid (55); Mohammad Sayeed (24); Latif Mir (55): Naseema Begum (34): Nisar Ahmad (13); Shahnawaz Mir (13); Nazir Mir (45); Nazir Ahmad (13); and a cop (ASI) Syed Altaf Hussain (58).

All the injured are residents of Chollan and were rushed to Baramulla hospital. However, the cop Altaf Hussain, s/o Hyder Hussain, was critically injured and was rushed to SKIMS Soura.
