SRINAGAR: At least 12 fire incidents were reported across Kashmir during the last 24 hours, officials of the Fire and Emergency Services said.

A spokesperson said fire service personnel responded promptly to incidents reported from multiple districts, helping to control the blazes and prevent further damage in several cases.
According to the official data, in Mukam Shah Wali area of Drugmulla in Kupwara, a double-storey residential house was damaged in a fire incident, while a cowshed was damaged in Magam area of Srigufwara in Anantnag district. A forest fire was also reported from Shehlal area of Kupwara.
In Char-e-Sharief area of Budgam, a single-storey cowshed was damaged, while Kawarri Gam in Anantnag reported damage to a double-storey residential house along with a cowshed.
Officials said another forest fire broke out in the Makhdoom Sahib area of Hariparbat in Srinagar. In Rangil area of Ganderbal, a double-storey cowshed was damaged in a fire incident.
An electric transformer was involved in a fire at Bagwani in Sallar area of Anantnag, while in Chotta Bazar near a marriage hall in Srinagar, a fire broke out in one room of a four-storey building. The fire was confined to the affected room and the remaining structure was successfully saved, officials said.
Further, a GCI sheeted shed was damaged in Bongam area of Tral in Pulwama district, while in Yaripora area of Kulgam, a single-storey residential house and a cowshed were damaged. Another single-storey cowshed was damaged in Hardboni area of Kunzer in Sopore.
Fire and Emergency Services officials said personnel remain on high alert across the Kashmir Valley and continue to respond swiftly to emergencies. The general public has been advised to follow fire safety guidelines and immediately report any fire incident to the nearest fire station or control room.
