Locals of Islamabad localities on Friday accused police of arresting nearly 12 minors during the clashes that erupted after congregational prayers. Besides, the locals alleged that the forces personnel desecrated Jamia Masjid Islamabad.
The locals said that 16 youth have been detained among who 12 are minors.
The detainees include twelve year old Riyyan son of a Hurriyat activist.
Meanwhile, Auqaf committee Jamia Masjid Islamabad has called for a complete shutdown tomorrow against the desecration of Jamia Masjid in Islamabad and the arrest of dozens of boys. The Auqaf committee met in the Masjid after Maghreb prayers and called for a complete shutdown in Islamabad against the highhandedness of forces. The Committee also condemned the arrest of boys and demanded their immediate release.
