Officials said that no such order has been issued. They asked students and parents not to pay heed to rumours.

Pertinently, Government on July 6 had announced summer vacations till July 16, the move which was looked by public as government intervention to maintain law and order on the maiden anniversary of militant commander Burhan Wani, who was killed in an encounter in Islamabad district last year on July 8.

The Schools and Colleges will now reopen on July 17, Monday across Jammu and Kashmir.
