SRINAGAR: A 12-year-old boy was killed, and six others were injured in a road accident in the Sawajian area of Poonch district.
Officials said that a Tata mobile vehicle travelling from Sawajian to Narian met with an accident.
In the incident, a boy identified as Mohammad Tofeeq (12), son of Mohammad Mushtaq, a resident of Gagrian, lost his life. Six others sustained injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The injured have been identified as Dhawad (13/14), son of Mohammad Ashraf of Gagrian; Mohammad Rafiq (26), son of Abdul Ahad of Gagrian and the driver of the vehicle; Mohammad Hafiz (12), son of Mohammad Shabir; Farzan Ahmed (10), son of Shabir Ahmed; Irfan Ahmed (5), son of Mohammad Ibrahim of Gagrian; and Imtiaz Ahmed (10), son of Mohammad Ibrahim.
