The government has rolled out various social security schemes to support migrant workers, including the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), PM SVANidhi scheme, and the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Additionally, a centralized platform, eShram, was launched in October 2024, which allows workers to access multiple welfare schemes under one roof. The portal integrates twelve schemes, making it easier for migrant workers to avail of benefits and manage their social security information.

These measures are designed to provide comprehensive support to the growing number of migrant workers from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and across the nation.
