Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday informed in the Legislative Assembly that under NHM, 540 MBBS doctors,873 AYUSH doctors, and 17 dental surgeons are in position who have been appointed on contractual basis under NHM.
In a written reply to the question of NC legislator Mohammad Akbar Lone, the Minister in charge Health Bali Baghat said that they are being paid Rs. 30000, 25000 & 23000 respectively as monthly remuneration.
He said that doctors working in health institutions falling in the hard zone areas of the state categorised as A (Inaccessible), B (Very Difficult) & C (Difficult) are being paid additional incentives @ Rs. 20000, 15000 & 10000 respectively.
In a question on regularisation of their services, Health Minister stated that health department has constituted a four-member committee to examine the demand of Contractual employees including regularisation of their services under NHM.
