16 teachers suspended in Srinagar for remaining absent from duties

A joint inspection squad constituted by the District Development Commissioner Srinagar and Directorate of School Education Kashmir today visited several schools in and around the city to check attendance of the staff.

During the surprise inspection by the special squad, 11 teachers of Government High School Hazratbal and 5 teachers of Government High School Saderbal were found on unauthorized absence from duty.

On the recommendation of the inspection squad, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Srinagar has ordered immediate suspension of these 16 teachers for dereliction of duties.

An inquiry has also been ordered against the said teachers.
