Minister for CA&PD and Transport, Ch. Mohammad Ramzan Friday said that LPG gas agencies would be opened in all leftover blocks in the state adding that for the purposes the Government is going to open 172 new LPG gas agencies soon in the state. He said the issue of enhancement of cap of consumer gas cylinders from 9 has already been taken up with the Centre.
Replying to a question by Abdul Gani Malik in the House here, the Minister said that home delivery of LPG gas has been started in Jammu and Srinagar which yielded fruitful results at the ground level, adding that KYC is open for registration of gas connections of those consumers who have not yet registered their connections.
Replying to the main question the Minister said that there are no crises on account of availability of LPG in the state. He said the central Government has already raised the cap from 6 subsidized refills to 9 subsidize refills, which has addressed the concerns of consumers to a great extent.
In reply to another question by Haji Mohammad Ashraf Ganaie, the Minister said that 14 food sale outlets of CA&PD and 7 CBC shops are functional in Sopore town. He said the filling of vacant posts in the department has been already referred to concerning recruiting agencies. The Minister said that has the matter of utilization of Rural Development Department godown at Waripora for stocking food grains would be taken up with the concerned department.

Your approval will also support public and discourage those shady people who are creating fictitious demand and sell in the black market thus extracting exorbitant amount from poor people who are desperately in need to cook their daily food., and we assure you of reaching our sales target, keeping in mind the securities and utmost precautions of this business.
