Police have arrested two peddlers and recovered 20kgs of fukki from them, a police statement said on Thursday.

Police party of police station Rajpora, established a Naka checking at Rahmoo, last evening and intercepted a Sumo bearing registration number JK03B/6614.

During the checking of the vehicle, police said 20 Kgs of Fukki was recovered.

“Two peddlers who were transporting the contraband were taken into custody,” police said adding the peddlers were identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Rather son of Rasool resident of Fresepora and Firdous Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad resident Kangan.

Police have registered a case against the peddlers and investigation has been taken up.
