Pushing deeper into rural pockets of the state, J&K Bank on Wednesday opened two more Business Units (BU) at Nopora and Hafroo villages in Chadura, Budgam.

Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather inaugurated the BUs in presence of Bank’s President and various other senior officials in Chadura, Budgam.

Speaking on the occasion, Rather said, “J&K Bank has proved itself to be the Bank of the people, from the people and for the people of state.” Empowerment of people flows from their economic well-being and this Bank has been persistently following its mission of improving the financial conditions of this society since more than seven decades of illustrious journey, he added.

The finance minister further stated that J&K Bank has always brought both relief and respect for this state and its people. The minister also distributed loans sanctions under Differential Rate of Interest (DRI) scheme among dozens borrowers on the occasion.

Earlier, in his welcome address, Bashir Ahmad Lone, President and Zonal Head, Kashmir (Central) reiterated the Bank’s commitment of empowering the people of the state through complete financial solutions irrespective of their location and status.
