SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department has selected 20 teachers and education officials from across the Union Territory for the Teacher’s Award 2026, with one awardee representing each district.
The awardees include teachers, lecturers, senior lecturers and principals from all 10 districts of the Jammu division and 10 districts of the Kashmir division, according to the list issued by the School Education Department.
From the Jammu division, the awardees are Badhar Singh, Lecturer, Government Higher Secondary School, Dablehar, Jammu; Namarita Sharma, Teacher, Government Higher Secondary School, Jakh, Samba; Amol Sharma, Teacher, Government Middle School, Pathwal, Kathua; Abhinav Gupta, Lecturer, SKIS GHSS, Udhampur; Anita Rani, Teacher, PM Shri HS, Talwara, Reasi; Jagat Dev Singh, Teacher, UPS Manwas, Doda; Sandeep Kumar, Teacher, UPS Anjole, Kishtwar; Kulbeet Singh, Teacher, Government GPS Harqoor, Zone Gool, Ramban; Shahid Qureshi, Senior Lecturer, GGMHSS, Rajouri; and Anwar Khan, Principal, HSS Boys, Mandi, Poonch.
The Kashmir division awardees are Reyaz Ahmad Khan, Teacher, Government Middle School, Drenin, Zone Qazigund, Anantnag; Tawheed Parvaiz, Teacher, Government High School, Qazipora, Bandipora; Rabia Mukhtar, Master, PM Shri School, Seer Jagir, Sopore, Baramulla; Gh. Mohd. Dar, Teacher, GMS Batpora, Budgam; Muzaffar Ahmad Wani, Teacher, MS Kasanapati, Ganderbal; Javaid Ahmad Rather, Teacher, MS Khanpora Pariwan, Kulgam; Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Teacher, Middle School, Chountipora, Kupwara; Towfeeque Ali, Teacher, Primary School, Mirbagh, Pulwama; Showket Hussain Bhat, Lecturer, HSS Imamsahib, Shopian; and Sameena Wani, Principal, GHSS Kothibagh, Srinagar.
The list was issued by Mohan Singh, Under Secretary to the Government, School Education Department.
The selection covers educators serving at schools across the UT, including government higher secondary, high, middle and primary schools, as well as PM Shri institutions.
