SRINAGAR: As many as 12 persons were airlifted from snow bound Tangdhar area to Kupwara, inincluding five patients, who were in need of advanced treatment, in two air sorties on Friday
Likewise, 1O Karnah bound stranded passengers were airlifted from District Police Lines (DPL), Kupwara today in subsidised helicopter service.
Nodal Officer Heli Service, Mudasir Sikander monitored the helicopter service facility at DPL Helipad Kupwara.
The timely requisition of heli service by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan and Administration cooperation has garnered widespread appreciation and gratitude from the people of Karnah.
Notably, the people especially patients had to face many hardships during closure of Chowkibal- Tangdhar road and adverse weather conditions, the helicopter service has come as a major relief for the people.
