SRINAGAR: Director General of Police Dr S P Vaid has sanctioned an amount of Rs.1,40,800/- (Rupees One lakh forty thousand and eight hundred) as scholarship in favour of wards of Police Personnel who have scarified their lives in line of duty, a police spokesman said.

The scholarships have been sanctioned out of the Central Police Education Fund in favour of these wards (students) for the academic year 2016-17. The wards in favour of whom the scholarships have been sanctioned, include the children of the deceased police officials who are presently undergoing professional trainings as well.

Farooq Ahmad, Pooja Devi daughter of Late Ct. Romesh Lal, Tabish Reyaz and Bazil Reyaz sons of Late Ct Reyaz Ahmad, Irfan Ahmad, Mohammad Amir and Aadil Farooq sons of Late SgCt. Farooq Ahmad Khoker, Shuraim Khurshid son of Late SgCt. Khurshid Ahmad, Horun Nisa daughter of Late Ct Jalal-u-Din, Jozia Khurshid and Asmat Khurshid daughters of Late Ct Khursheed Ahmad, Saniya Manzoor, Aliya Manzoor and Tuyba Manzoor daughters of Late SgCt.
