Srinagar

In a very significant move, Hurriyat conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani has said that if the leaders of both the factions of Hurriyat and Liberation Front can manage a joint meeting in Srinagar and take any decision about the “joint strategy” among themselves he will accept any decisions reached upon on the issue.

“Geelani Sahab has been put under strict restrictions in Delhi and we have no direct communication with him but through an indirect message he has said that if the leadership present in Srinagar can meet on the issue and reach any conclusion he will respect and honour that,” Mohammad Asharf Sehrai, caretaker of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat told Kashmir Life.

Sehrai explained that Geelani and everybody in their faction of Hurriyat conference is also feeling and knowing the importance of unity so “if the leaders from all the groups and parties can meet somewhere and take a decision that will be welcomed.”
