SRINAGAR: A 25-year-old youth drowned in the Zangli area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday.
Officials said that the youth slipped and fell into a dam in Zangli earlier today.
A joint rescue operation was launched by police, SDRF, and locals. After sustained efforts, the body was retrieved from the dam.
The deceased was identified as Arshad Ahmad Meelu, a resident of Zangli.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident. (GNS)
