SRINAGAR: A 25-year-old man died after allegedly receiving an electric shock while working at a restaurant in the Shalteng area of Srinagar on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Arbaaz, son of Saleem Ahmad, a resident of Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh, who was presently staying in Shalteng.
Quoting officials news agency KNT reported Arbaaz was rushed to JVC Hospital, Bemina, after the incident, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
According to his attendants, Arbaaz was working at Shahi Darbar Restaurant in Shalteng when he allegedly came in contact with a live electric current.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated proceedings to ascertain the circumstances that led to his death.
