Twenty-six passengers were injured on Tuesday after a bus they were travelling in skidded off the road at TRC Slamabad Uri town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Government bus accident in Slamabad Uri

An official said that a government bus bearing registration number Jk01Y 0421 was travelling from Gwalta to Uri, and met with an accident at TRC Slamabad, resulting in injuries of 26 passengers in which 22 have been shifted to SHD Uri and other four have been referred to district hospital Baramulla.

The four injured passengers shifted to district Hospital Baramulla has been identified as three brothers Nasir Ahmed, Yasir Ahmed, Imran Ahmed, residents of Gwalta Uri.

However, when contacted Block Medical Officer Baramulla, Mohammad Ramzan, he said they have put their men on job and ambulances are rescuing the injured.
