SRINAGAR: A 28-year-old man was found hanging from a tree in the Kundi area of Tehsil Chirala in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, officials said.
An official said that the deceased has been identified as Akshay Kumar, son of Rattan Singh, a resident of Kundi, Tehsil Chirala. Local residents informed police after spotting the body hanging from a tree.
Police have taken the body into custody and initiated proceedings under relevant sections of law. An investigation is underway to ascertain the cause and circumstances surrounding the death. (KB)
