SRINAGAR: Three militants were killed in a brief encounter in Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar on Friday, police said.
An official said that three militants were killed so far in the encounter at Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar.

The identity and the affiliations of the slain militants could not be ascertained immediately.
Earlier, a police spokesman said a gunfight broke out between militants and forces at Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar.
He added that in the initial exchange of fire three policemen and a CRPF man got Injured and were shifted to hospital for treatment.
