Three militants have been killed in an encounter between government forces and militants in Satora area of Tral in south Kashmir on Saturday, Police said.
Militant and forces are engaged in a fierce encounter in the Pulwama district since morning.
One more militant is believed to be holed up inside a cave on a hillock.
Police said that the Tral encounter was still on.
Earlier troops of 180 Bn CRPF, 42 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group (SOG) Tral on the specific information of presence of militants went for a cordon and search operations, police said.
