SRINAGAR: A 32-year-old man was injured after being attacked by a bear while working in his paddy field in the Dara area of Harwan on the outskirts of Srinagar, officials said.
An official said that the man was attacked by a bear while working in his paddy field at Dara Daird Khore in Harwan.
He said the man was shifted to a hospital soon after the incident, where his condition is stated to be stable. He was identified as Liyaqat, son of Mohammad Yaqoob Kuli, a resident of Dara, Harwan.
Meanwhile, the matter has been taken into notice, while locals have urged the authorities to take measures to prevent further attacks. (KNO)
