The election Notification for the 3rd Annual General Election of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil has been issued and the Code of Conduct has been implemented from Tuesday, July 16, 2013.
According to Deputy Commissioner Kargil Fida Hussain, the elections will be held on August 22, 2013 from 8 am to 4.30pm.
The date for filing nomination is July 27 2013, and last date for the same is August 3 and the date of scrutiny is August 4.
A candidate can withdraw his nomination up to August 6, 2013.
Fida Hussain said that the whole process will complete by September 2, 2013 with the formation of the New LAHDC Kargil.
He further added that all the process for conducting the election fairly has been completed and voter list is ready for the upcoming election.
