A police party Friday afternoon came under heavy attack from unidentified gunmen in North Kashmir’s Haigam area in the outskirts of Sopore resulting in the death of four cops.
“Militants attacked the police party resulting in injuries to our four cops,” police spokesman told Kashmir Life, adding the injured included head constable Abdur Rahim, constable Mudassir Ahmad from Srinagar and two SPOs Mudassir Ahmad and Gulshan.
However sources said that all the four injured policemen succumbed on way to hospital. The details are awaited. They added that forces have cordoned the area and search is on to nab the gunmen involved in the attack.
