District administration Shopian and police Wednesday evacuated 200 persons of 45 families including children and ladies from landslide prone areas of Krath Pathri Karewa.
Police cops were pressed into service to clear the clogged streams to prevent triggering of landslides in the area, reports said.
Police and civil administration are closely monitoring the situation in the area.
“The rescued families were shifted to Hr Sec Paad Paawan, where boarding and lodging facilities have been kept by administration,” officials said.
