Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday informed that a total number of 4587, reportedly, have crossed Line of Control (LoC).

In a written reply to former CM and National Conference working President, Omar Abdullah, JK Home department told the Lowe House of the J&K Legislature, “474 youth have returned via Nepal up to ending December, 2014.”

The reply said, “reportedly, 4587 youth have crossed over to PaK.” “15 Youth have returned via Nepal since January 2015 till date.”

The government in response to another question said that J&K Government has sanctioned a “policy and Procedure for rehabilitation of mis-guided youth, who have crossed to PaK but have given up insurgent activities.”

The said policy, government said, have recognized. However, it added that Nepal is not a recognised route but the issue has been taken up with Government of India.
